Calvin D. Williams

Calvin D. Williams passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024, at the age of 94 in Rockwall, Texas. Born on September 7, 1929, in Emory, Texas to Emmitt and Eunice (Northcutt) Williams, Calvin was a cherished husband, a loving father, and a dedicated member of his community.

Calvin embarked on a remarkable career, beginning humbly in the mail room of Sears and Roebuck. Through hard work, perseverance, and unwavering determination, he steadily climbed the corporate ladder, ultimately retiring as an esteemed Executive. His commitment to his work and his unwavering professionalism earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Outside of his professional life, Calvin found great joy in raising his family in the Dallas, Texas area. He was a devoted father to his children. The bond between father and child was unbreakable, and Calvin took immense pride in watching them grow and thrive.

In his leisure time, Calvin delighted in the pleasures of life. Whether it was a round of golf on a sunny afternoon, the melodies of country music soothing his soul, or embarking on exciting journeys, Calvin embraced every moment with enthusiasm and zest. He had a fondness for travel, cherishing the experiences and memories created with his family.

Deeply rooted in his faith, Calvin was a cherished member of Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church in Buffalo. His unwavering commitment to his community was evident as he served as a former Grand Master of the Buffalo Masonic Lodge #554.

Calvin's love of life and his generosity extended beyond his immediate circles. He was known for his philanthropic spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand to his family, friends, and those in need. His selfless acts of kindness and his warmhearted nature touched the lives of many.

In his quieter moments, Calvin found tranquility on his ranch outside of Buffalo. He tirelessly worked on the land, finding serenity amidst nature's beauty. Calvin's industrious spirit was a reflection of his desire to stay active and involved, even in his later years.

Above all, Calvin cherished his family and valued the time spent together. Each year, he eagerly anticipated their annual family trip, embracing the opportunity to create lasting memories and strengthen the bonds between loved ones. Their shared adventures were filled with laughter, joy, and cherished moments that will forever resonate in their hearts.

Calvin was preceded in death by both of his parents; first wife, Helen June (Jones) Williams; daughter, Linda "Dianne" (Williams) Round; brothers, Bobby Williams, Roy Williams and Emmitt Wayne Willams and sister, Audrey Flowers.

He leaves behind wife, Pat Ellison Williams of Buffalo; son, Calvin Don Williams and wife, Lora, of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Karly Rodine and husband, Brent, Kyle Stoehr and wife, Kelsey, Caycie Williams and Calvin Williams and fiance', Breanne, as well as her son, Auron; and great-grandchildren, Owen Rodine, Wyatt Rodine, Dylan Williams and Cooper Stoehr.

Calvin D. Williams leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and generosity. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. As we gather to remember and celebrate his life, a funeral service will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, February 9, 2024 at Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church, Buffalo, Texas. Calvin will be laid to rest in Siloam Cemetery in rural Leon County. A time of visitation and fellowship will take place Thursday evening at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.
