Aurelia N. Daniel

Aurelia N. Daniel, age 73, passed away at her home in Buffalo, Texas, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, August 17, 2019. She was born on April 1, 1946 in Houston, Texas and was the oldest of eight children of John Watts and Helen Francis (Porter) Watts. Aurelia was a dedicated member of the Miracle Christian Center in Buffalo and was well loved by her family, church and community.

She was a woman who never lacked in creativity and energy. In addition to being a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, she was a floral designer and owner of the Buffalo Flower Shop for five years, as well as a talented cook and baker. Many people will forever remember her joy and passion for faith, family and music. These are gifts that she passed along to her family members and will live on in her grandchildren. Her anointing on a piano can only be described as a “God given talent”. Aurelia was blessed by God...from the creativity in her fingertips to her prayers for family and friends that were always heard. There has been no greater woman described as a “prayer warrior and fighter for the Lord”.

She was a strong woman who fought the fight, finished the race and is now celebrating her abundant new life in Heaven. Psalm 118:17 “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Aurelia’s legacy will forever be carried on through her beloved family.

Aurelia was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Francis (Porter) Watts. Surviving family members include her husband, Jimmy Daniel; son, Michael Ray Daniel and his wife, Vickie; daughter, DeAundra Mullins and her husband, D.W.; son, Paul David Daniel and his wife, Kimberly; eight grandchildren, Natalie Hays, Jennifer Daniel, Christopher Mullins and his wife, Jaimee, Hannah Mullins, Seth Daniel, Andrea Daniel, Elizabeth Daniel and two great grandchildren, Sydney Hays and Zoey Hays. She is also survived by four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Karen Allen, Billie Jo Box (Rodney), Becky Ingram (Sammy) and Kathy Stevens (Stanley); three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Asa Watts, Albert Watts (Carol) and David Watts (Judy); numerous nieces and nephews and her special friend, Duke Daniel, the wiener dog.
