Barry Eugene Roach

Funeral services for Barry Eugene Roach, age 65, of Hempstead, Texas are set for 2pm Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, TX. There will be no public viewing. He was born December 13, 1954 in Teague, TX and died at his home on October 29, 2020.

Barry had lived in Hempstead for about 30 years. He was a Baptist and graduated from Buffalo High School. He earned his electrical license from TSTI in Waco, TX. He also attended Texas A&M. He worked at Bi-Stone Electric in Teague and numerous building contractors. He likes to “cowboy” and was a good mechanic. He enjoyed working on his pickups.

Barry was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Eugene Roach; by a brother, Derrick Dwayne “Bubba” Roach and by grandparents, Hazel and Herbert Roach and Ruby and Buddy Parrish. He was also preceded in death by his two step-fathers, Mervil Moore and Dr. A.E. Van Wey.

Barry is survived by his wife, Pauline Roach; his mother, Parthena Moore Newsome; his step-father, Ray Newsome; a brother, Herbie Allen Roach and his wife, Theresa; two daughters, Dena Ann Ralston and Darla Wall; a niece, Maranda Roach; a nephew, Herbert Allen Roach, Jr.; a great niece and great nephew, Rhagan Walker and Luke Walker; brothers-in-law, William Mellman and his wife, Nancy and Johnnie Mellman and his wife, Pam; a sister-in-law and her husband, Rose and Ronnie Arthur and many other family and friends as well as five grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Walters Buffalo Funeral Home.
