Bennie Mae Mccoslin

Funeral services for Bennie McCoslin, 88, will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Pastor Lloyd Lane, of Miracle Christian Center, will officiate the service, and interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery near Jewett, Texas. The McCoslin family will receive friends Friday, June 19th from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Bennie Mae McCoslin was born December 12, 1931 in Robertson County, Texas between Franklin and Bremond. Her parents were Ben & Della (Conell) Johnson. Bennie grew up in the Wheelock, Franklin and Bremond areas and was baptized as a Baptist. In her younger years, she worked at the Princess Drive-In in Houston. Bennie’s dedicated studies to receive the credentials to be a Dietician paid off when she was given the Dietician position at Buffalo Hospital, where she worked for many years. Bennie was a member of Miracle Christian Center and had lived in Buffalo since 1963.

Bennie passed away June 17, 2020 at her home in Buffalo surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, George McCoslin and grandson, Zayne Edward Johnson. Her surviving family includes daughter & son-in-law, Regenia & Bruce Johnson of Buffalo; grandchildren, Zach (Kacie) Johnson & Zeb Ty Johnson & great-grandchildren, Andy, Tobe, Gatlynn, Maddox, Peyton and Zayne Ty Johnson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas.
