Emily Ray Dozier

Emily Ray Dozier, age 74, passed from her earthly home to her new heavenly dwelling place February 6, 2021 surrounded by those she loved.

Emily was born November 6, 1946 in Brownwood, Texas to parents, Richard Roy & Vivian Louise (Mitchell) Ray. She was married to the love of her life, Donald Dozier, for fifty-five years. Together, they owned Buffalo Auto Parts and later changed the business to a resale shop before eventually selling the property. Emily enjoyed fishing, riding horses and attending auctions. She had lived in Leon County for the past thirty-five years.

Emily was preceded in death by both of her parents and grandson, Robert Donald Ansley. She is survived by husband, Donald Dozier of Buffalo; daughter, Jodi (Kenneth) Ansley of Jewett; sister, Jolene (Gregg) Hill of Dallas; grandchildren, Racheal Wright & Kelsey Ansley; three great-grandchildren; best friend, Frances (David) Shaw and four nieces & nephews along with their children.

Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas is entrusted with final arrangements.
