Eva Perkins Mccormack

Eva Mae Perkins-McCormack was born on February 1, 1929 to Autrey Haynie and Eva Maudine Baker. Eva was born on her grandmother, Eva Baker's farm in Buffalo, Texas. She was the oldest of three children--brothers Ebby Sloan and William Allen Haynie.

Eva was active in the United Methodist Church, being baptized in Cedar Creek in Leon County at an early age. She later taught Sunday school, worked with the youth and served on the church board for many years. Always working where her boys were in church, in Boy Scouts and in the little league and school activities. Eva and Billy Doyle Perkins were married August 31, 1946. They had four boys, Billy D., Jr., Raymond Autrey, Edd Wiley and Ronald Joe. Billy, Sr. passed away August 13, 1977. Eva married L. A. McCormack on March 28, 1992 and added a step-daughter, Eileen Greebon to the family. Eva was happiest when all the family was over having fun.

On January 17, 2015, she married long time friend, Wiley Eldon Waters. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; her husbands, Billy Perkins and L.A. McCormack; her granddaughter, Kristeva Perkins and grandson, James Kemp.

She is survived by her husband, Wiley Waters of Athens; sons, Billy and Tammy Perkins of Sequin, Autrey and Andene Perkins of Carrollton, Wiley and Cindy Perkins of Helotes and Ronny and Dawn Perkins of Fair Oaks Ranch; step-daughter Eileen Greebon of San Antonio; step-son Jerry and Kathy Holland of Montgomery; and her precious grandchildren Robert, Michael, Jerry (wife Shelby, Penelope), and Dr. Jessica (husband Sean) Perkins, Elena (husband Mike, Rayden & Lillia) McCormick, Gigi (husband Alex, Ethan, Aubrey, Olivia) Espey, Nikki (children Emma, Ellie) and Holli Greebon, Kayla (James) Strange, Tim (wife Hailey, Hudson) and Marshall Holcomb, as well as sisters-in-law, Patsy Haynie and Jackie Perkins; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Eva will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
