Griffin Ray Shepherd was born on February 20, 2024, in College Station, Texas and died on September 3, 2024.
Griffin lived with his mom and dad in Bryan, Texas. He loved singing and dancing with his parents, snuggling on the couch, eating carrots, and making new friends. He loved people and never met a stranger. He had the biggest smile that he would share with anyone he met.
Griffin looked at the world with big eyes full of wonder- watching everything from the sunshine coming through tree branches, to the rain on the window, to his very favorite, the ceiling fan. His laugh was infectious. In six short months he brought a lifetime of joy to the people around him. He taught his parents how to love fully and gave them the greatest honor of their lives to be his.
Griffin is survived by his parents, Kayla and Derek Shepherd; his great-grandmother, Carol Wilson (Grammy); and his grandparents, Gayle Ray (GG), Sherri and Ronnie Ray (Nanny and Papa), and Elizabeth and Marty Parrish (Baba and Papa). He also leaves his aunts and uncles, Connie and Johnny Wilson, Brandi Leo, Kacy Frerichs, Daniel Skidmore, and Quintin Skidmore; and cousins, family, teachers, and friends who loved him so.
