Jennie "Ruth" Copeland

Graveside services for Mrs. Ruth Copeland, age 95, of Oakhurst and formerly of Buffalo, will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Russell Cemetery, west of Buffalo. Pastor Lloyd Lane will officiate the service.

Jennie Ruth Copeland was born September 10, 1923 in Centerville, Texas to parents, Frank & Myra (Tatum) Pettigrew. She worked as a waitress most of her life which afforded her the opportunity to do what she loved most—talk. Ruth enjoyed talking and visiting with anyone and everyone she was able to. She lived most of her life in Buffalo, having moved to Oakhurst to be near her daughter in her later years, and was a member of Miracle Christian Center.

Ruth was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Robert Floyd Copeland; sisters, Frances Hester, Helen Hulgan and Mable Little and brother, J.L. Pettigrew. Surviving family members include daughter, Bobbye Coates of Oakhurst and grandchildren, Kayla Hester, Michael Lawson and Scott Coates.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas.
