On November 23, 2023, Jimmy Ray Daniel passed away peacefully at the age of 76 years at his home in Buffalo, Texas. Jimmy was born June 16, 1947 to Wesley Ray Daniel & Lillian Ruth (Allen) Daniel.
Jimmy grew up in Lanely, Texas. He married Aurelia (Watts) Daniel and they traveled with their family while Jimmy worked as a pipeliner. Eventually, Jimmy and Aurelia settled in Buffalo and raised their children. Jimmy went to work for Champion Mobile Home and then to Nucor Steel where he worked for twenty-five years.
Jimmy loved guns, and reloading them was his greatest hobby. He also liked fishing and anything to do with being outdoors.
Jimmy was preceded in death by both of his parents and wife of fifty-two years, Aurelia Daniel.
Surviving family members include children, Michael Ray (Vickie) Daniel, DeAundra Lynn (DW) Mullins and Paul David Daniel (Kimberly), all of Buffalo, Texas; grandchildren, Natalie Hayes, Jennifer Daniel, Christopher Mullins (Jaimee), Hannah Allen (Rachel), Seth Daniel, Andrea Daniel and Elizabeth Daniel; great-grandchildren, Sydney Hayes, Zoey Hayes and Wesley Mullins; and sister, Peggy Davis; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
A funeral service honoring Jimmy's life will be held 10 A.M., Monday, November 27, 2023 at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. Pastor Lloyd Lane will officiate the service. Jimmy will be laid to rest next to his wife in Dew Cemetery, Dew, Texas. A time of visitation and fellowship will take place from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M., Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the funeral home.
