Kelly Dale Webb, of Buffalo, Texas, was born May 24, 1954 to father, William S. Webb and mother, Dorothea M. Webb. He went home to be with Jesus and his family that had gone on before him on January 13, 2021 at the age of sixty-seven years.
Kelly grew up in Buffalo, graduated Buffalo High School 1972, and afterward attended TSTC in Waco, Texas studying carburetors. While there, he went to work at a fabricating shop and learned how to weld which became a passion of his. Kelly went to work at Nucor Steel in the summer of 1975 and retired in 2007 after thirty-two years.
Kelly met his wife to be, Thelma Joy "TJ" Webb in 1973. They married November 14, 1975. and divorced after three years of marriage due to alcohol abuse. Two years later, he awoke one morning with a terrible hangover. Kelly gazed into the mirror and did not recognize himself. All he could see was darkness upon him. God spoke and said, "If you take another step forward on this path you will cross the point of no return!” Kelly decided at that point if he wanted to live he’d better give his life totally and completely to God, and that’s exactly what he did. He made Jesus Lord of his life and started crawling out of that dark hole he had made for himself and reaching for the light. He began attending Maurice Hester’s church on a regular basis learning the word of God. He then pursued in getting his wife back, which he did. They were married again May 6, 1981. In March of 1987, Kelly became part of Upper Room Church, now Celebration Church, and was very active with the church eventually becoming and elder.
Kelly studied the word of God diligently, took every bible course he could get his hands on, and became an anointed teacher of the Word of God. He taught Sunday School for years and ministered until departure.
He ministered and touched the lives of many people through the years. His wife recalls that still, to this day, she is hearing testimonies from the people of his wild days that prayed for him and told him he needed to straighten his life up. How Kelly, after he gave his life to the Lord, wrote notes to them and how it ministered to them and touched their lives years ago, and how some of them still carry those notes in their bibles today.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Thelma Joy Webb; daughter, Christina Marie Kilgore; son, Dustin S. Webb; grandchildren, Andie Marie Kilgore, Charlie Grace Kilgore and Jackson Cash Kilgore; sister Shelia Gaskin and cousins, Carol Webb, Sharon Copeland, Daryl Webb, and Scott Webb. His cousin, Rex Webb, passed away February 25, 2021.
The Webb family would like to invite you to come celebrate his life with them.
