Funeral services for Kent Helmcamp, 50, of Buffalo, will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Officiating at the service will be family friend, Bro. Lee Weiler, and the eulogy will be read by Randy Helmcamp. Interment will follow in the Buffalo City Cemetery. The Helmcamp family will receive friends Wednesday, October 23rd from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Kent Helmcamp was born in Channelview, Texas on October 2, 1969 to Gary Kent and Susan (Mouton) Helmcamp. He was a lifelong resident of Buffalo and sometimes attended Donie Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mowing, equipment operating and power lifting. He worked 13 years for Nucor Steel and also as a Pipeline Superintendent in the oil industry. Kent was a loving father and son. He was always glad to help others.
Kent passed away on October 18, 2019 in a Houston hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Kent Helmcamp and an uncle, Allen Leon Helmcamp. Surviving family includes his son, Nathan Kent Helmcamp; daughters, Savannah Sudrene and Maryelle Helmcamp; his mother, Jana Susan Helmcamp; brother, Rusty Helmcamp (wife, Brandy); nieces and nephews, Dalton Helmcamp (wife, Lauryn Skye), Lauren Christine Helmcamp, Colton Weiler (fiance', Ashlynn Neuman), Hagen Helcamp and Shelby Fields; great nieces and nephews, Sutton and Konnor Helmcamp and Niah Fields and aunts and uncles, Jack Helmcamp (wife, Karen), Scott Mouton (wife, Donna) along with numerous extended family and friends.
Pallbearers: Dalton Helmcamp, Hagen Helmcamp, Colton Weiler, Randall Helmcamp, Randy Helmcamp and Joseph Sanders.
Honorary Pallbearers: Wayland Beaty and Sam Richards.
