Lawrence Evert Taylor, age 77, died peacefully at his home on January 17, 2021.
Lawrence was born on January 23, 1943 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Pleas Everett Taylor and Laura Alice Taylor.
Lawrence retired from Leon County after a successful career.
Lawrence was happily married to Linda Taylor for forty-five years.
Lawrence is preceded in death by both of his parents, sister, brother and one son.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Linda Taylor; two children, Jason & Roger Taylor; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Lawrence enjoyed the simple things in life. Visiting friends, teaching his grandchildren about guns, fishing and hunting were his favorite past times.
He believed in the passage, “Do unto others….” He had a very generous nature and a sincere love for God and country.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life gathering at 10 A.M., Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Calvary Christian Center near Oakwood, Texas. Pastor of the church, Jack Smith, will officiate the service, and interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Limestone County, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Friday, January 22nd at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home is entrusted with final arrangements.
