A celebration of life for Loyce Janette Mol will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Buffalo, Texas. Rev. Richard Dahlgren will officiate the service. Visitation will take place the evening of Monday, July 18th from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
Loyce was born on November 1, 1963 in Palestine, Texas and passed away on July 12, 2022 in Palestine, Texas.
I would like to weave a story line concerning Loyce. There were three sides to her in life. The adventurous side, the learning side and the caring side.
The adventurous side came from her dad and began at about age four where she "learned" to drive. She would be seated upon a pile of phone books steering a truck feeding cows. She graduated to a VW stick shift for better skills, to driving her BMW M3 convertible, her ninja motorcycle to and from work in Houston, her sailboat, flying a plane to scuba diving. She loved to travel and was able to travel to Europe as well as the US and Alaska.
The learning side stemmed from her mom as she followed in her footsteps as a pharmacist. However, Loyce didn't stop with the basic degree but went on to earn the Doctor of Pharmacy. With the advanced degree, she was put in the place of leadership wherever she went. Within these workplaces, Loyce developed Residency programs to help her colleagues become the best they could be. She was a manager of infectious diseases while in NYC. She also loved plants and had a green thumb.
The caring side is where we are going to share a bit more. Loyce's caring side also came from her mother as all of you know just how much she cared and still cares. Loyce would be given the difficult cases where patients that were not taking their meds or not taking them correctly. She had a way of getting them on her side and taking their meds correctly and healing themselves. She related to people well.
Loyce was preceded in death by her father, Jan Mol; maternal grandparents, Loy and Homer Johnson; paternal grandparents, John and Marril Mol; uncle, Lary Coats Johnson. She is survived by her mother, Sue Allen of Buffalo, Texas; brother, James "Homer" Mol of Buffalo, Texas; uncle, Sammy B. Johnson of Buffalo, Texas and loving dog, Tovi.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
