Marie Reynolds West

Marie (Reynolds) West was born April 21, 1932 in Turkey, North Carolina. Her parents were James Reynolds & Eloise Sivils. She lived most of her life in North Carolina and worked as a homemaker taking care of her large family. She dearly loved being able to care for her children.

Marie moved to Buffalo, Texas from Salemburg, North Carolina in 2005. She enjoyed keeping a clean home, mowing the yard and was usually on the move most of the day taking care of chores. When she was at rest, Marie loved cuddling with her dogs, the late “Sparky” and “Angel.”

Marie passed away February 25, 2020 in Bryan, Texas at eighty-seven years. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father; husband, Harold Nathan West, Sr.; daughter, Janet West; sister, Polly McClanahan and son-in-law, Jim Kelly.

Surviving family members include sons, Harold Nathan West, Jr. of Fairfield & Rondal Allen West of Roseboro, NC; daughters, Jennifer “Jenny” Kelly of Buffalo, Judy Neher of Wilmington, NC, Tammy Eloise Jenkins of Buffalo & Teresa Mobley of Tampa, FL; sister, Patsy Clifton of Clinton, NC; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Marie will be held in Roseboro, North Carolina under the direction of Butler Funeral Home (www.butlerfh.com).

Local arrangements are under the direction of Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas.
