Melba (House) Call, also known as “Odie”, went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2022 in Liberty, Texas. She was one of seven children born to Tony V. House and Violet (Taylor) House on September 26, 1928, in Lonestar, Texas. She attended school in Buffalo, Texas where she made lifelong memories. Her fondest memories were made during her school days spent playing sports and her time on the girls volleyball team where she held a special love for volleyball that followed her throughout her life. Melba was a hard worker, she was a go-getter and was not ashamed of being a strong woman. She instilled a great work ethic into her children that could be passed on through generations.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Phyllis Carlene McKenzie; brothers, Grover B. House, J.E. House; sisters, Alma H. Kratz, Vera B. Crenshaw and Darcus A. Kratz.
