Michael Allen “Mike” Gaskin was born in Teague, Texas on November 13, 1953 to parents, G.W. & Mary (Weaver) Gaskin. He was a lifelong resident of the Buffalo area. Mike married the love of his life, Vicki Farmer, in April 1984 and they shared nearly thirty-seven wonderful years together. Mike was exceptionally active when he was younger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rodeo and sports. Mike enjoyed watching his grandchildren be as active as he was in his younger years. He was extremely proud of all his grandchildren, whether that be hunting, rodeo, or sports, he was overjoyed with all their accomplishments. Mike also enjoyed his retirement years camping with his wife, his children and grandchildren. His family truly was the center of his life, not only immediate family, but extended family as well. One of his greatest qualities was his loving heart, and he offered love to everyone around him.
Mike passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Waco, Texas following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by both of his parents G.W. Gaskin and Mary Gaskin and granddaughter, Blaire Aniston Wood.
