Noticia "Lenere" Welborn

Noticia LeNere Davis Welborn (86) was born November 19, 1934 in Teague, Texas, passed away February 11, 2021 in Palestine Texas.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of forty-seven years, Billie E. Welborn; parents, Alvarez and Letha (Standlee) Davis; daughter, Anita J. Welborn; daughter-in-law, Kathy Welborn; and brothers, Hearell Davis and Standlee Davis.

She is survived by her son, Robert "Danny" Welborn of Willis, Texas; daughters, Gwendolyn "Gwen" (Welborn) Arnold of Conway, Arkansas and Deborah (Welborn) and husband, Mark Hernandez of Highlands, Texas. She is also survived by her brother, Nelson Davis of Houston, Texas and sister, Lana (Davis) Schollard of Buffalo, Texas. LeNere has eleven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

LeNere graduated from Galena Park High School in 1954 and Lee College School of Nursing and was a nurse for over fifty years. She loved traveling, fishing and watching her hummingbirds. Most of all she loved her family.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home is entrusted with the final arrangements.

Viewing of the body will be on Saturday, February 27, 2021; 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.

A graveside service will be on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 11 A.M. at 14414 County Road 223, Welborn Family Cemetery. Rev. Wesley Henson will officiate the service.
