Funeral services for Patricia "Patsy" Anders, age 88, will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church in Buffalo, Texas. Pastor of the church, Bro. Ray Grissett, will officiate the service.

Patricia Ann Anders was born July 11, 1932 in Houston, Texas to Rusk & Dorothy (Allen) Blasingame. She was raised in Galena Park and was a graduate of Galena Park High School. Patricia was a devoted wife and mother and an excellent cook. She married her high school sweetheart, James, they just celebrated their seventieth wedding anniversary this past June. Patricia enjoyed working in her flowerbeds, birdwatching and was a very social individual. She had dutifully kept in touch with friends made in elementary school on up, as well as others formed through the years. Patricia was a founding member of Bethel Baptist Church in Buffalo and was actively involved in most church activities, having taught the ladies bible study group and Vacation Bible School for a number of years. She and her husband had lived in Oakwood since 1986, coming from Galena Park.

Patricia passed away peacefully with her husband by her side September 30, 2020 in Conroe, Texas. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; son, Rusk Anders; daughter, Dena Reily; son-in-law, Rick Reily and grandson, James Reily. Surviving family members include husband, James Anders of Oakwood; son, Steven (Cindy) Anders of Oakwood; daughter-in-law, Joan Mason of Ballston Lake, NJ; sister, Linda (Daniel) Rutherford of San Antonio; grandchildren, Tracey (Chris) Giebner, Adam Anders, Sarah (Burke) McDevitt, Lucy Anders, Christopher (Tracey) Anders, Clay (Jen) Anders, Matthew (Cami) Reily and Luke Reily and granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Reily Burroughs. Patricia is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and nieces, Rebecca and Casey, and nephew, Tyler, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the Anders family kindly requests memorial donations be made to a charity of choice.

Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas is entrusted with final arrangements.
