Patricia Ann Pryor

Patricia Ann Pryor, a devoted wife, mom and Nana, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2023, at the age of eighty-eight. Born on May 10, 1935, in Calf Creek, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of Lawrence Whit and Audie Lee (Duncan) Smith.

Patricia's journey through life led her to Teague in 1972, where she established deep roots and touched the lives of many. She was a compassionate and dedicated wife to her husband, who served as a preacher and missionary.

Known as an excellent seamstress, Patricia created many outfits for her daughters and granddaughters. Her creations were not only skillfully crafted but also made with love and attention to detail. Beyond her passion for sewing, she was a wonderful cook, skills that she learned from her sister, Lois Smith and mother-in-law, Mary Pryor. She found solace and joy in the warmth of her kitchen, delighting her family and friends with her delicious cooking and baking.

A devout member of Bible Baptist Church in Buffalo, Texas, Patricia's faith in God was unwavering. The church was her second home, and she actively participated in various ministries, including singing in the choir, offering prayers, and sharing her faith through witnessing.

Despite the challenges she faced in losing her dear mother at a young age, Patricia's spirit remained resilient, thanks to the nurturing guidance of her older sister. Her unwavering desire to become a mother and grandmother was fulfilled, as she poured boundless love and devotion into her children and grandchildren.

With a quiet and gentle personality, Patricia effortlessly brightened the lives of those around her, always ready with a warm smile and a kind word. Her genuine love for others was felt by all who had the privilege of crossing her path.

Patricia was preceded in death by both of her parents; loving husband, Harold Olen Pryor; seven siblings and grandson, SGM James Gregory Ryan Sartor. Her memory will be cherished by her loving children, Terri Pryor Patterson & husband, Roy of Fairfield, Greg Pryor & wife, Lisa of Tomball, Paul Pryor & wife, Lou Ann of Donie and Elizabeth Pryor Duckworth of Teague; as well as nine grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and extended family. Her legacy of love, faith, and compassion will forever resonate in their hearts.

A funeral service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the Bible Baptist Church near Buffalo, Texas, starting at 2 P.M. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place at the church from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon where family and friends can pay their respects and share their fond memories of Patricia.

Following the service, Patricia will be laid to rest in a peaceful burial ceremony in Greenwood Cemetery, Teague, Texas. Her spirit will forever grace the beautiful landscape that she called home.

In her memory, the family kindly requests donations to be made to any charity of choice.
