Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Louis Webb, age 89, of Buffalo, Texas are set for 11 AM, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Buffalo. The pastor, Rev. Alan Grisham, will officiate and burial will follow in the Buffalo City Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 PM until 8 PM on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home.
Ralph "Louis" Webb was born in Buffalo, Texas on June 1, 1928 to Horace C. and Ruby Leon (Spiller) Webb. He served his county during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He lived most of his life in Buffalo except for the nine years that he lived in the Houston area. He was a banker and, at different times, worked for a bank in Texas City, Citizens State Bank of Buffalo, Fairfield State Bank and Donie State Bank, after which he retired.
Mr. Louis was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cynthia Ann; two brothers, William S. Webb and his wife, Dorthea and Clyde Webb; son, Stephen L. Webb; grandson, Joshua R. Webb; and grandson-in-law, Duane Martin. Surviving family includes a daughter, Carol E. Webb of Buffalo; a daughter, Sharon A. Copeland (husband, John) of Buffalo; daughter-in-law, Sandra Webb of Palestine; son, John Richard Young, Jr. of Houston; son, Jeffrey Scott Young (wife, Debby) of Houston and daughter, Dr. Suzanne Young Clark (husband, Dr. Tracy Clark) of Houston; grandchildren, Tammy Copeland Beddingfield (Jay), Cynthia Copeland Jones (Jason), Kevin Burns, Katy Hart Brough (Steve), Nathaniel Louis Webb, John Richard Young, III (Kim), William Joseph Jacob Young, Rachel Adair Young Hunt (Andrew), Jeffrey Scott Young, Jr., Blake Young, Hanna Suzanne Young, Paige Young, Cory Lawson Plum (Lindsey), Daniel Louis Plum and Michael Manning Clark; great grandchildren, Sarah, Trent, Haley, Jacie, Taylor, Avery, Liberty, Ethan, Wyatt and Jack; great great grandson, Kayden and numerous nieces and nephews including, Sheila Webb Gaskin, Kelly Dale Webb, Rex Gaylord Webb, Daryl Shelton Webb and Scott Webb. In addition, Mr. Louis is survived by two very special groups of friends: members of the Senior Citizens of Buffalo (Patsy Randle) and members of the Buffalo High School Senior Class of 1945.
Serving as pallbearers: Kevin Burns, Jason Jones, Jay Beddingfield, Nathan Webb, Tres Young, Jake Young, Cody Young, Blake Young, Trent Martin, Steve Brough, Cory Plum, Danny Plum and Michael Clark. Serving as honorary pallbearers: James Graham, James Stanton, Dwight Myers, Stephen Teddlie, Alan Beard and Johnnie Stevens.
Funeral services are under the direction of Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas.
