Rex Gaylord Webb, Sr.

Rex Gaylord Webb Sr, of Jewett, TX, passed away at the age of 69, surrounded by his children. He was born September 17th, 1951 to Mary Ethel Henson and Zadie Clyde Webb and passed away February 25, 2021. He lived in Pasadena and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1969. He then graduated from Christ For the Nations Institute in 1977. In 1987, he founded Road Home Ministries, which offered a rehabilitation program to help men get their lives back on track. Rex was a member of the Tribe of Judah, a Christian motorcycle club. Later, he started his own Christian motorcycle club, called The Messengers. The Messengers traveled to motorcycle rallies and preached the word of God. They also participated in many of the games at the rallies, including Rex’s favorite, the slow race. Rex was able to balance on his motorcycle for such a long time that he earned himself a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. Rex also enjoyed visiting high schools and prisons to talk to them about drugs and alcohol and share his testimony. Rex was a kind man, and a masterful storyteller. He had a certain charisma about him. He could talk to anyone and everyone. His favorite thing to do was tell you a joke. Most of them were not even funny, but the way he told it, it would make you laugh anyway. His pride and joy was his Harley, God, and his children. And, yes, in that order. His passion was to serve the Lord and to help others. Throughout his life, Rex helped many people in their battles with drugs and alcohol and transformed their lives.

Rex is survived by his children, Christiaan Webb, of Houston, Christi Taylor of Tyler, Sunny Webb of Austin, April Webb of Georgetown, Mary Webb of Jewett, Rex Webb, Jr of Bowie and Angel and Shone Goodall of El Campo; brothers, Daryl Webb of Deer Park, Scott Webb of Buffalo, sister, Kerri Webb of Houston; grandchildren, Lauren, Hannah, Christiaan Jr, Kelia, Serenity, Davon, Chazlyn, Taelyn, Trace, Malachi, Issac, Nevaeh, Chad, and Kayla and great- grandchildren, Remi, Addisyn, Casyn, and Kyleigh.

Those preceding Rex in death are his parents, Mary Henson and Zadie Webb and wife, Sandra Webb.

Services will be at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas, Saturday, March 20th at 2pm.

“Its not all mountain tops- You must be determined in your heart - daily commitment. Not always some great spiritual high - But it takes self - discipline and effort applied.” - Rex Webb
