Richard McGhee was a man who was dedicated to his wife and family. An Air Force veteran, he worked for Houston Lighting and Power (HL&P) for thirty years before retiring to raise horses. He moved to Buffalo, Texas in 1984 where he co-owned Winners Circles Enterprises with his wife Joyce McGhee for more than 30 years and was a member of AQHA for 32 years. Richard and his wife bred and raised champion horses that they sold and are now known nationwide. Together he and Joyce touched the lives of hundreds of men, women and children who came to their horse camps and clinics. Richard loved riding horses and roping as well as his cows. An avid reader, he had a love for knowledge of all kinds, however nothing could compare to the love he had for his family and friends and the time that he was able to spend with them. Most of all was his well known love for his wife Joyce who he absolutely adored and admired. He shared his love of God with his great-grandson, Branson, reading verses from the bible with them. A joker and a character, he was happiest when people were laughing around him.
