Roy Albert Kingsbury

Funeral services for Roy Kingsbury, age 79, of Buffalo, will be held 11 A.M., Monday, August 10, 2020 at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Pastor Lloyd Lane will officiate the service, and interment will follow in Keechi Cemetery in rural eastern Leon County.

Roy Albert Kingsbury was born January 12, 1941 in Pasadena, Texas to Robert & Mary (Holder) Kingsbury. He worked as a supervisor for the City Public Works and had lived in Buffalo since 1987. Roy enjoyed going to Diamond Jacks Casino in Bossier City, loved keeping his yard nicely landscaped and had the ability to fix anything that was broken. His favorite pastimes were meeting friends to drink coffee at the Pit Grill and spending time with his family. Roy also held a lifetime love for Corvettes. He passed away August 5, 2020 at his home in Buffalo.

Roy was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, Randy Kingsbury; sister, Robbie Hodge and special friends, Bill Foster & Joe Allen. His surviving family includes daughter, Cheral Kingsbury of Buffalo; sister, Rhonda Hodge (Jimmy) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; grandchildren, Daren Kingsbury, Destin Leago & Devan Christian; great-grandson, Brayson Kingsbury and good friend, Danny Cupit.

Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas is in charge of arrangements.
