Funeral services honoring the life of Rozanne Law, 94, of Jewett, Texas will be held 1 P.M., Thursday, June 9, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Buffalo, Texas. Pastor of the church, Rev. Alan Grisham, will officiate the service, and interment will follow in Gum Springs Cemetery near Flynn, Texas. A public visitation will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
Rozanne Law was born April 11, 1928 in Maxie, Acadia Parrish, Louisiana to B.L. & Velma (Sloan) Smith. She was a graduate of Lamar High School in Houston and lived much of her younger years in the Houston area. Rozanne was a homemaker until her children were school aged and began working in the daycare business. She eventually opened her own daycare called Storyland, which she operated for thirty years. Upon returning to live full time in Normangee, Texas Rozanne worked in the Normangee School Cafeteria for another ten years before finally retiring.
Rozanne enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and painting. She was a lover of flowers and enjoyed picking flowers out of the catalogue for her daughter, Carol, to purchase to add to her gardens. Most of all, Rozanne loved her family and the many visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rozanne passed away June 4, 2022 in Centerville, Texas. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Billy Dudley "Red" Law; three siblings and great-granddaughter, Sarah.
Surviving family includes children, Billy Dudley Law, Jr. (Ella) of Wasilla, AK, Carol Foster of Jewett, Debi Starr (Glenn) of Deer Park, and Dennis Law of Pasadena; grandchildren, Renee, Angie, Christie, Andrew, Stephanie, Shawna, Dillon and Tabitha, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Buffalo, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
