Ruby Maxine Mills

Ruby Maxine (Beckendorff) Mills, 83, of Buffalo, Texas passed away on April 12, 2023 in Buffalo, Texas. She was born on December 24, 1939 in Harris County, Texas to Roy Leland and Jessie (Mansell) Beckendorff. Ruby raised three sons, three grandsons and three great-grandchildren. She played softball in her younger years, then switched to bowling and joined a league. She was a talented bowler and could beat anyone playing against her. Ruby also loved her church, Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church.

Ruby was preceded in death by both of her parents; middle son, Rickie Mills; and grandson, Darren Mills. Left to cherish her memory include sons, Eddie Mills of Katy, Texas and Dennis Mills (Kim) of Jewett, Texas; grandchildren, Trent Mills (Erin) of Kansas City, Kansas and Justin Mills (Brandy) of Cleveland, Texas; great-grandchildren, Kelcie Mills, Layla Waters and Landon Mills; best friends, Kay Smith (Merle) and Carol Rizzo (Ronnie) along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

A memorial service for Ruby will be held 11 A.M., Monday, April 17, 2023 at Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church, Buffalo, Texas. Bro. Doug Smith will officiate the service. A public visitation will take place April 16th, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made to Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church.
