Spankie Annlatech Pellerin was born June 28, 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her parents were Bryan Keith & Margaret Lynn (Rome) Moore.
Spankie spent the majority of her younger years caring for her siblings. She later held numerous jobs including working on a shrimp boat and waitressing. She wasn’t afraid of work and would be the first to dig in and get her hands dirty. Spankie most enjoyed caring for the elderly. She had briefly worked at a nursing home, as well as, assisted at the Buffalo Senior Center. Spankie loved the time she was able to spend visiting and helping the visitors to the Senior Center. She was a natural caregiver.
Spankie enjoyed swimming, fishing and cooking. She had a talent for drawing and enjoyed coloring, as well. Spankie will most fondly be remembered for her outgoing personality. There wasn’t anyone she wouldn’t talk with and she never met a stranger. She had lived in Buffalo since 2013 coming from Carriere, Mississippi.
Spankie passed away suddenly March 29, 2019 in Fairfield, Texas at the age of forty-two. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and sister, Mandy Moore. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Holmes of Buffalo, children, Paul & Storm Pellerin, both of Carriere, MS and Atrayu “Tray” Mitchell of Bogalusa, LA; step-son, T.J. Earnhardt; brother, Keith Moore; sisters, Glenda & Heather Moore and granddaughter, Avah Pellerin.
A visitation for Spankie will be held Friday, April 5, 2019 from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M. at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Buffalo Senior Center.
