Graveside services for Staci Ann Schakel, 35, of Jewett, will be held 2 P.M., Friday, October 22, 2021 at Old Bowling Cemetery in the Old Bowling Community of Leon County, Texas. Rev. Allen Crosby, pastor of First Baptist Church, Jewett, Texas, will officiate the service.

Pallbearers: Nathan Sipe, Curtis Stanford, Cole Stanford, Bobby McEachern, Lawson Fuller, Jared Winstead

Staci Ann Schakel was born February 20, 1986 in Bryan, Texas to Curt & Janice (Wells) Neyland. She was a lifelong resident of Leon County and a member of First Baptist Church, Jewett, Texas. Along with being a full time homemaker and mother, Staci enjoyed her time working as a pizza dough cook for Hometown Pizza. She also liked baking at home, arts and craft making, painting and spending too much time on the ‘Tic Toc’ app. Staci was a well known prankster in her family and had a lot of fun playing pranks on people. She adored her children and loved attending as many of their games as she could. Staci passed away October 19, 2021 in College Station, Texas. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Maxie Wayne & Patricia Wells and paternal grandparents, Curtis & Thelma Neyland.

Surviving family includes devoted husband, Johnathan Schakel of Jewett; parents, Curt & Janice Neyland of Old Bowling, children, Jaxon Hans Schakel & Savana Grace Schakel of Jewett; sisters, Courtni Symons (Keith) of College Station and Lesli Neyland of Old Bowling, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
