Tabatha Ezell Doss was born November 1, 1971, along with her twin brother, Tim, at Leon County Memorial Hospital in Buffalo, Texas making them the two youngest of five children for James and Betty Ezell, a total of seven children for James. Tab passed away peacefully on February 13th at the age of forty-nine at Christus Mother Francis hospital in Tyler, Texas with her sisters, Cindy and Molly, at her side.
Tab was a lifetime resident of Buffalo and went to school from kindergarten to graduation in 1990 in the Buffalo ISD school system. Several years after graduation, Tab went on to attend Vogue Beauty College in Waco, Texas and obtained her license as a nail technician. While attending school there she met Billy Doss. They later married and had a daughter, Molli Jean, who was born in 2002. Tab began working at Carrie’s salon in Buffalo until 2011, when she began a new career working with her sister, Molly, at G-Force graphics and designs. Tab enjoyed her work and loved interacting with the public. She had a true passion for her work. She served many years on the board of directors with the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce and loved being a part of the Stampede each year. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #157 for the last fourteen years, along with her two sisters, and just recently her daughter was inducted, as well. Six years ago, Tab met her fiancé, Kenneth Chain, at one of the events for the Buffalo Stampede. They not only shared a life together, they worked side by side in the sign business every day. Tab was so committed to Molli Jean and KC. They were her world.
Tab had a strong commitment to family and community. She was the biggest Dallas Cowboys Fan that ever breathed, but she bled purple and gold. She was a Bison Belle at heart and was so proud to see Molli Jean follow all of our footsteps. She will forever be a Bison Belle, and nobody had high kicks like she did.
Tab is survived by a large family, daughter, Molli Jean Doss of Buffalo; fiance, Kenneth Chain of Buffalo; mother, Betty Rowland of Buffalo; sisters, Molly Glick of Buffalo, Cindy Wood (Donald) of Buffalo and Tracie Chanceller of Katy; brothers, James Ezell, Jr. of Buffalo and Terry Ezell of Fairfield and twin brother, Timothy Ezell (Deanna) of Buffalo, as well as a host of nieces and nephews whom she was so very proud of and loved dearly.
