Van Walker Plummer

Graveside services for Van Walker Plummer, 80, of Mineola, Texas will be held 2 P.M., Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Plummer Cemetery in Limestone County, Texas. Rev. Bobby Burleson will officiate the service.

Van Walker Plummer was born February 14, 1942 to Van Buren & Willie Mae (Stuart) Plummer. He was raised in the Jewett area and had enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years. He was a member of the Army National Guard. Van had retired as a supervisor in the manufacturing industry. He spent his retired years working in his vegetable garden and tending to the many birds he loved raising, from chickens to exotic species. Van enjoyed all other types of animals, as well. He passed away April 2, 2022 in Quitman, Texas. Van was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Carol Ann Plummer and sister, Dorothy Mae Plummer.

Surviving family members include son, Van Plummer & wife, Leslie, of Mineola; brother, Sammy Plummer of Franklin and granddaughter, Taylor Ann Plummer of Lubbock, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
