Vickie Marie Lacour

Vickie Marie LaCour, 57, passed away June 21, 2021 following an extended illness. She was born March 15, 1964 in Teague, Texas to John H. “Jake” & Joan (Blume) Wood. Vickie graduated from Buffalo High School in 1982 and lived her entire life in Buffalo. She worked at various places of employment but always enjoyed her time spent as a substitute teacher for Buffalo ISD.

Vickie was an avid hog hunter and an outdoor person who didn’t like being cooped up inside. Vickie was most proud of her daughter and two granddaughters, and she loved her family very much.

Vickie was preceded in death by both of her parents and infant brother, Thomas Wood. She is survived by devoted husband, Dwayne LaCour of Buffalo; daughter & son-in-law, Christie & Andrew Bickley of Temple; granddaughters, Jessica and Danielle Bickley; sister, Martha Moses of Marquez as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts and uncles and a host of friends.

Graveside services for Vickie will be held 11 A.M., Friday, June 25, 2021 at Brushy Cemetery in the Flo Community. Family friend, Eric Larsen, will officiate the service. The LaCour family will receive friends Thursday, June 24th from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.

Honorary Pallbearers: Lance Noey, Shawn Noey, John Stoner, Mike Vezorak
