Funeral services for Willie Mangrum, age 88, of Mesquite and formerly of Buffalo, will be held 11 A.M., Monday, July 15, 2019 at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Rev. Alan Grisham, pastor of First Baptist Church in Buffalo, will officiate the service. A private interment will be held at the Buffalo Cemetery. A brief visitation will take place Monday morning from 9 A.M. to service time at the funeral home.
Willie Ray Mangrum was born May 29, 1931 in Dallas, Texas to Willie D. & Roxie (Beauchamp) Mangrum. He worked as a truck driver and lived most of his live in Dallas. He married Mary White, and they shared sixty-eight happy years together. Following retirement, Willie made his home in Buffalo where he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Willie passed away July 11, 2019 in Mesquite, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; daughter, Roxann Maxey; brother, James Earl Mangrum and sisters, Juanita Farmer & Mozelle Richardson.
Surviving family members include wife, Mary Mangrum of Mesquite; sons, James Ray Mangrum (Mary) of Heath and Steven Wayne Mangrum (Carol) of Blooming Grove; daughter, Donna Reid (Kenny) of Dallas; grandchildren, Amy, Stephanie, Jason, Jamie, Mary Kay, Justin, Christine and James Michael and great-grandchildren, Tristyn, Gavyn, Clayton, Landon, Abigal, Cyanne & Bryson.
Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas is in charge of arrangements.
